Firstly, I've tried a literal crap ton of products. Resonix, Dynamat,Siless, NVX, Amazon CLD. Out of all those products I prefer the 80mil Vibraflex. Second being the NVX solutions with a very close third to Resonix.
Start with the positives:
Product conforms well
Easy to cut or split
Adhesion is fantastic (once it's on its hard to remove)
Stacks well (layers on top of each other)
Fits in small spaces
Rolls on easy once warmed up
Can use a heat gun to warm the materials
Negatives:
Sticks to any surface once touched after its been heated
If cold, it will break into pieces
Using a roller the product will stick to the roller easily
Smell
Overall quality of the product is a 9/10. I only take a point off due to the smell of the product. It will linger for a bit. Due to heating the product the smell will permeate. It starts to go away after about a month.
Ease of use 9/10. Use a simple heat gun, roll on after heated, can be cut with good scissors. - one points for the product crumbling in colder temperatures.
Use the product while in warm areas. 70f + is preferred. 80mil easily comforms to small spaces. It's extremely durable once applied and makes a significant difference in resonance from panels.
You can use less of this product and get better results than using CLD on the same panels. It's now my go to for knocking down resonance in large panels.
One suggestion would be that ampere audio make a different product to back this. Such as a 2&1 or 3&1. Meaning small 50mil layer of this, aluminum layer, heavy CCF Layer. To add on to this existing product.
Thank you Ampere Audio for an amazing product.
